Job Description:

Working under minimal daily supervision the role is responsible to deliver correct, concise and accurate product copy descriptions and act as the final gateway to products going live on site. Working with online merchandising team on editing and updates of online errors.
Responsible for following the established standards for eCommerce product copy descriptions. Ensuring all product copy is assigned and enriched to suit the product assets produced by the Studio team. Oversee and asset in localization of product descriptions via the internal translation tool.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a proactive approach to work, showing initiative, suggestion new ideas to enrich product copy and provide efficiencies
• Mentor new copy members and source and manage a reliable pool of freelancers for peak times and absence develop pool of freelance product copywriters.
• Ensure the translation memory is free of errors and updates are occurring on a regular basis.
• Write clear, concise and accurate product copy that not only reflexts a strong awareness of what the customer needs to know, but demonstrates good brand and fashion knowledge.
• Check over PID (product IDs) on workflow tool, staging and live on site to ensure accurate descriptions
• Assist in the product upload process and ensuring writing creation and/or adaption standards are maintained.
• Maintain communication lines inter-departmentally to ensure copy & translation runs smoothly and/or aligned with online merchandising team.
• Reviewing and editing system generated translation to ensure Arabic localization are correct.
• Assist and help oversee the weekly uploads, ensuring all deadlines are met on a weekly basis as per SLA

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience working in an E-Commerce environment, preferably fashion retail, working in localization projects for e-commerce website, preferably luxury fashion retail
• Minimum of 3 years in a copywriting or content creation / editorial position. in the UAE.
