Job Description:

  • We have an amazing opportunity for a Buying Assistant to join our Specialbuys team at our Head Office in Atherstone.
  • As a Buying Assistant you’ll liaise with suppliers and external agencies as well as internal colleagues from different Regions and functions such as Corporate Logistics, Advertising, Communications, CR and Quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all due diligence, advertising and related issues for all products issued
  • Understand complex POS/financial data and be able to analyse this on Excel
  • Manage the Buying Director’s diary
  • Have full and thorough knowledge of products and suppliers
  • Actively manage your area of responsibility, driving innovation and change
  • Manage the efficient and accurate flow of communication both internally and externally

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain systems is desirable
  • Ability to use your own initiative
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) is essential
  • Ability to effectively manage suppliers
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience within Buying or Supplier Management is essential
