Job Description:
- Manages, directs and supervises the overall accounting and tax activities of the business unit.
- Provides decision support and analysis to Business Units Heads in the country.
- Determines solutions to ensure compliance with company’s Accounting Policies, US GAAP, Mexican GAAP, and other Government requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages, directs and supervises the overall accounting and tax activities of the business unit.
- Determines solutions to ensure compliance with company’s Accounting Policies, US GAAP, Mexican GAAP, and other Government requirements.
- Manages the department with respect to the utilization of manpower including backfill and cross training, scheduling work flow, implementation of improved methods and procedures.
- Acts as contact point for external auditors. Manages interaction with Corporate Auditors and resolves audit and Compliance findings.
- Participates in the evaluation of new business opportunities. Follows Corporate strategies & investment objectives.
- Provides decision support and analysis to Business Units Heads in the country.
Job Requirements:
- Languages: 100% Bilingual English and Spanish
- Skills: excellent leadership, organizational and people management skills
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Solid understanding of financial matters and accounting principles
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience working with MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Experience: 10+ years’ experience in a finance/accounting positions with previous roles at a managerial level
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, CPA or related fields is required (MBA preferred)
