Clorox Employment – Senior Staff Engineer

Job Description:

The Senior Engineer works in a participative team-based environment using World Class Operations processes and principles to lead the design and implementation of complex capital projects investments in addition to supporting Plant Operations. The position participates on and leads teams as an expert in the discipline and is able to work with minimal management oversight. The role may have hourly associate direct reports.

Job Responsibilities:

• Capital Project Management (Design through Commissioning)
• Lead/support project teams to deliver site & project business objectives (EH&S improvement, cost savings, growth, and innovation)
• Position may require occasional (<5%) business travel
• Support/Lead Technical Problem Solving Initiatives & Feasibility Evaluations
• Provide Engineering/Technical support to plant maintenance and operations
• Construction Management

Job Requirements:

• WCO / WCM / TPM / Lean Manufacturing processes and techniques
• Background in consumer packaged goods environment
• Proven skills to effectively document and communicate technical information
• Excellent presentation skills to technical and non-technical audiences
• Solid analytical skills
• Understands Continuous Improvement Methodology
• High level of initiative and ability to drive results
• Demonstrated ability to achieve quality results and meet deadlines
• Problem solving, data collection, and analysis skills
• Good business judgment with ability to calibrate with business objectives

Qualification & Experience:

• 2 years of experience in Operations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP or equivalent, and utilization of Engineering Standards
• 3+ years (prefer 5 + years) of Engineering Experience including: Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP or equivalent, and utilization of Engineering Standards
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in mechanical engineering (BSME) or other engineering discipline
• 2 years in Plant Engineering
