Job Description:

Overall Job Function: Responsible for driving the omni merchandise strategy in the assigned concept to meet the commercial needs for the business. As an expert on the US market and US customer knowledge, you can influence the buying office when it comes to assortment for the assigned concept and securing proper quantities across online and in store. Responsible to develop and drive a cohesive collection Omni channels, while creating and executing reduction strategies that drive profitable net growth for the organization. Able to achieve goals through driving assigned concept, optimizing the stock, and creating the best customer offer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive Global commercial expectations for assigned concept on a local level through commercial planning, follow up in the market, and close cross functional partnership with store and Regional teams on execution
  • Assess market competition with respect to financial condition, trends, marketing and product strategy and react accordingly to ensure H&M remains a leader in the market
  • Drive decision making in season to achieve financial and strategic targets for H&M US through performing ad-hoc analysis and recommending courses of action for assigned concept that drive sales and profit
  • Manage strategic and hands on stock management for assigned concept, including assortment planning, allocation and replenishment strategies across Omni channels for all H&M US
  • Develop pricing initiatives for assigned concept, end to end from pricing strategy all the way through execution for all H&M US
  • Evaluate and implement reduction pricing strategy through rigorous data analysis and forecasting, optimizing the effect of reductions and remaining competitive within the marketplace
  • Utilize strategic assortment influence to drive business results and ensure future omni channel strategies are cohesive across all areas of the business

Job Requirements:

  • Sales driven, customer focused and results-oriented
  • Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Demonstrate smart risk taking and strategic thinking in pricing, reduction and assortment strategies
  • Proven ability to influence and gain buy in from others
  • Drives with long term and short-term vision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Business or Economics major. MBA or equivalent highly desired.
  • 5+ years of experience with retail Buying or Planning or Retail Management
