Job Description:

Our Supply Chain & Logistics Fulfilment Strategy team is at the heart of our Argos brand GM transformation, enabling us to move towards a standalone national ‘Local Fulfilment Centre’ network capable of providing market leading fulfilment to customers, whether that be for collection or to a customer’s home. In addition to this, the team is focused on optimisation of our other established fulfilment channels including Large Item, Installations, Tu and Habitat.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage/implement business change from concept through to delivery/review
• Take an ambiguous issue and collaboratively establish a clear problem statement, solution operation with recommendations and roadmap for delivery
• Create clear strategy/vision to engage stakeholders across the business
• Manage projects through all delivery phases, monitoring progress against milestones and budget ensuring all activities are completed on time
• Work with cross-functional teams across the business to deliver the change (ranging from IS/Digital to property, to Marketing or HR)
• Communicate and report on project status, addressing issues or barriers to progress, escalating as appropriate to mitigate any risks/issues

Job Requirements:

• Strong project/programme management experience
• A strong understanding of the UK retail market (General Merchandise focused)
• A strong understanding of Home Delivery / Customer Fulfilment
• A diverse business background perhaps gained in strategy consulting and/or project & programme management
• Strategic thinking with an entrepreneurial spirit – experience taking high-level business idea and exploring the potential opportunity to develop a clear strategy and roadmap to engage stakeholders
• A rounded skill set enabling you to see a proposition
• A strong focus on delivering a great experience for our customers
• Financial and commercial acumen, ability to understand cost and margin drivers
