Job Description:

The Category Development Manager, under the guidance of a Category Development Sr. Manager, is responsible for providing reporting and analytical support to field sales and internal teams to better understand business performance and strategic opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and maintaining inventory parameters. Understands and communicates short to mid-term supply constraints and manages E&O at the signature level
  • Coordinates the flow of product and information, manages exceptions and streamlines communication to commercial teams through the local market demand planners (or through short-term Inventory Exception & Management meetings)
  • Communicates with the GBSC to understand supply confirmation, analyze tradeoff decisions at market level, present options during S&OP meetings, and coordinate signature level allocation
  • In supply allocation scenarios, coordinate assembly vs base product allocation with the CPD business planning team
  • Coordinate with Assembly Planner to ensure confirmation of stock available based on confirmed supply from the GBSC
  • Confirm DRP based on available stock and production confirmed over a certain number of days
  • Manages call-offs to local markets and manages forward deployment
  • Manages DRP including supply confirmation from import products coming from other zones
  • Confirm product availability and timing for local market launch to GBSC
  • Responsible for E&O review & management, and identifying and implementing E&O reduction opportunities in the local market

Job Requirements:

  • Strong VBA/Python coding is required
  • Lead in Weekly/Monthly Cycle of Information Exchanges and Processing of Critical Data supporting the Demand and Supply Planning Functions
  • Defines processes, data (reliability, availability and coherence) and procedures. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Supply Chain Planning and Corporate Operations North America (CONA)
  • Prepare analysis for senior operations and business leadership.
  • Budget preparation and analysis (demand, inventory, and reconciliation with production units)
  • Accountable for preparing global stock equation and inventory projections for Brand Cell Validation
  • Prepares ad hoc analysis and reporting
  • Implement projects as required, locally and globally
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to take on additional roles in a small, dynamic team and division.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related fields
  • 3-5 years’ experience in related Supply Chain field, preferable in Consumer Products industry
  • Ability to work independently in a very flat entrepreneurial-minded division with minimal hierarchy
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain, launch process, distribution network
  • Strong coding skills, advanced Excel; ability to analyze and manipulate large amounts of data
  • Create and interpret stock equations, forecast pyramids, excess calculations
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate root cause analysis
  • SAP or equivalent experience
