Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is strategic planning, management and supervision of capital replacement projects including the repair and periodic maintenance services by the outsourced contractors for Retail Facilities department. The Director will also ensure all work is completed to Rite Aid’s Safety, Caring, Presentation and Efficiency Experience and Regulatory Standards.Frequent independent judgments are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop the capital budget and plan management of major capital projects by completing a scope of work, comparing bids and negotiating from contractors, and analyzing and controlling project costs
  • Lead Corporate and Retail Facilities expense planning, invoice processing and GL Account / P & L performance & variance reports by directing three (3) Facility Managers, one (1) Project Manager and one (1) Supervisor
  • Develop the budget and plan management of interior / exterior maintenance, repair contracts, related contractor negotiations and resolve repair and maintenance requests for corporate facilities and retail stores
  • Provide vendor performance assessment and implement improvement on quality responsiveness and invoice compliance
  • Negotiate/Bid major repairs and capital work such as parking lots, roofs, heating, ventilations, and air conditioning (HVAC), and structural replacement projects valued up to $250K
  • Interact with and support Construction, Asset Protection, Accounting, Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Real Estate and Legal departments on Remodel, Regulatory, Lease and Building Code Compliance Issues
  • Perform special projects as assigned Disaster Preparedness and Recovery event management
  • Act as Retail Facilities single point of contact for Senior Vice Presidents, Store Operations for P&L variance and quality of service issues
  • Maintain familiarity with the contract scopes of all regional and national contracts within assigned divisions to facilitate cost management and training programs for trade specific, non-contract work

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Five (5) years’ of experience inFacilities, Construction or Property Management;required
  • Three (3) years’ of experience in Retail Facilities administration preferred
  • Or equivalent education in lieu of experience
