Job Description:

As a Starbucks Decision Scientist, you will support the marketing and product organization in their efforts to delight our customers by providing them with the by providing them with the right communication and product at the right time right communication at the right time. You will leverage your analytical chops to support the further development of our Starbucks Rewards program, as well as understand how new and limited products are performing, and how to best market new products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create dashboards that surface impactful KPIs to business users and empower them to make day-to-day data-driven decisions
  • Analyze and explore data via a variety of statistical and descriptive techniques to generate actionable insights
  • Collaborate with business partners to define business questions and translate unstructured strategic questions into a structured analysis plan
  • Design & implement measurement plans to ensure that the methodology matches the use case, that the recommendations and conclusions are appropriately contextualized

Job Requirements:

Qualification & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with SQL, PowerPoint
  • Business experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Retail, customer loyalty, marketing or eCommerce experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of statistics (descriptive, regression, etc.)
  • High proficiency with Python or R; familiarity with both
