Job Description:

The Dispensary Supervisor reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager and Store Manager. All non-Pharmacist colleagues report into Dispensary Supervisor. The Pharmacy Manager remains the primary point of contact with the Director of Pharmacy Operations and retains ultimate responsibility for pharmacy operations. Achieving a balance between the professional oversight of the pharmacist(s) on duty and the operational oversight of the Dispensary Supervisor would ultimately free up pharmacists to focus more on patient centered services like Medication reviews, Prescription renewals, Immunization services etc., all of which in turn enhance patient care, build trust and foster loyalty.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all daily operations to ensure that the pharmacy runs efficiently by organizing and managing the workloads of non-
  • Pharmacy team in collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager
  • Responsible for providing positive team leadership and promoting engagement amongst the Pharmacy team
  • Worth within their full scope of practice including product verification
  • In partnership with the PM, participate in conference calls and lead huddles to disseminate any pertinent information
  • Prepare non – Pharmacist schedules to optimize performance and the customer experience.
  • In addition, approve vacation time and manage leave of absences. Update STAS and ensure payroll is submitted each week specific to non – Pharmacist Colleagues.
  • Resolve any issues with Pharmacy Enhanced Support (PES), third party billing, IT, audits, manual reversals, ordering processes etc.
  • Frequently check Flip and generic pharmacy email account and respond to any actionable items

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of retail experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant certification
  • Registration with appropriate Pharmacy Association, where applicable
  • Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers, supervisors, suppliers, physicians and customer
  • A leader with a positive approach to communicating with all colleagues.
  • Strong and collaborative leader and team player
  • Ability to implement practical procedures of systems which are moderately complex
