Job Description:
Transguard Group is currently recruiting for Warehouse Workers for its Hospitality division. The successful candidate will be part of an exciting team, responsible for keeping track of goods in and out, storing them in the most efficient and appropriate way and carrying out other duties as outlined.
Job Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vans or lorries
- Checking if the type of goods has been received in correct quantity
- Recording any damaged, missing, or faulty goods
- Moving the goods to the correct area in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical handling equipment
- Labelling goods
- Allocating storage space to goods
- Relocating and re-stacking goods to make space for a new delivery
- Keeping records (often computerized) of goods, their location and quantity
- Picking goods that has been ordered
- Preparing dispatch notes and labels
- Moving and stacking goods ready for delivery, either by hand or using machinery
- Ensuring compliance with security procedures and health & safety
- Maintaining warehouse in a tidy state and clearing away packing material and debris
- Using computerized systems, barcode scanners and other technology to record goods movement
Job Requirements:
- Able to operate scanning devices
- Good Mathematical skills
- Keen attention to details
Qualification & Experience:
- School Leaver with EPT Level 2+.
