Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse emergencies and near-emergencies
  • Act as Crisis Commander, provide expertise and support to management and functional areas when a business disruption occurs
  • Ensure effective reporting the Business Continuity Programme Status to Committee and regulators
  • Coordinate and conduct tests such as IT tests and business functional test regularly
  • Develop further guidelines, standards, tools and methods of Business Continuity Planning to ensure standardised organisation and procedures in all units across Daman
  • Validate and supervise IT disaster recovery tests by ensuring adequacy of methodology used, number of users involved and test cases complexity
  • Monitor and report events within the headquarter and branches by using the incident monitoring tool
  • Enhance team of Business Continuity Coordinators, train them and provide guidance on BCM activities
  • Support business units in relocations during planned system maintenance
  • Support implementation of new IT developments and projects with definition of BCM requirements, adjust/enhance BIA and Business Continuity (BC) solutions according to new IT developments
  • Conduct yearly Risk Assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Planning workshops. Consolidate BIA strategy and update Business Continuity Plans accordingly
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategy and test action plan for adequacy
  • Organise and oversee disaster simulations and various crisis management trainings and programmes
  • Perform Quality Assurance and optimise the Business Continuity Planning
  • Maintain all ISO 22301 and NCEMA 7000 relevant BCM documentation; act as management representative for those standards and ensure that all identified gaps during audits, tests and assessments are closed in time
  • Revise Business Continuity Plans regularly by updating staff data, internal and external contact data; adjust plans and resource lists

  • Very good analytical, planning, forecasting, execution and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goals and deliverables
  • Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage
  • Results oriented whilst ensuring high quality of work and able to “think out of the box”
  • Good knowledge of health insurance concepts
  • Good business understanding and background
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure and deliver results
