Job Description:
Under limited supervision performs advanced tasks pertaining to the accounts payable function, requiring use of initiative and judgment. The Accounts Payable Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring all related Accounts Payable tasks are completed accurately, efficiently and within the timeline given by management. This includes invoice entry and Payments to the suppliers., Reconciliation of various general ledgers of AP and the correspondence between the suppliers and inter departments, The Senior Accountant may be given a specific process or area to coordinate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review initial invoice entry, categorization, and 3-way match. Ensures that all invoices and payments are properly coded and approved. Reviews accounts payable voucher reports for accuracy. Ensures payments are made timely;
- Oversees internal and external inquiries on the status of accounts payable invoices. Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of purchase orders and invoices, both large and small;
- Respond to vendor inquiries and troubleshoot issues with and vendors;
- Proactively manage vendor statement reconciliations and aging report;
- Manage AP Team mailbox and credit card postings;
- Support SOA reconciliation, cash management policies by maintaining an up-to-date and accurate AP aging;
Job Requirements:
- SAP Knowledge;
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel & Word;
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Attention to detail essential;
- Experience within the real estate / construction / major events industries is preferable;
- Strong organizational, analytical and account reconciliation skills.
Qualification & Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable in a senior accountant position, as well as:
- A Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field;
