Job Description:

To support the investment and asset management function for a specific portfolio of assets, through working with a deal execution team to conduct end to end deal origination and execution activities, and being actively involved in asset management activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recommending performance improvement initiatives
  • Providing operational, financial and human capital support to enable day-to-day business
  • Preparing internal and external portfolio communication including Investment Committee papers, asset reviews, client / fund updates and investor materials
  • Reviewing and assessing business risks and ensuring major risks are elevated as required
  • Implementing corporate governance framework and processes
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting on operational and financial performance
  • Valuing investments through liaising with investment asset managers, reviewing investment
  • Ensuring compliance with investment strategy, covenants, environmental and social safeguard requirements and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Actively monitor financial performance and actions, including divestitures operations
  • Reviewing documentation to ensure content, completeness, accuracy and relevance prior to submission of periodic progress reports, statutory and disclosure requirements
  • Supporting the management team in developing asset monetization/exit strategies
  • Performance reporting and updating asset management models; perform periodic financial and operating performance analysis including periodic asset valuations
  • Managing and maintaining data related to underlying assets

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to write clear storylines and chapters of complex communication (e.g., investment
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of other deal execution areas including financing, tax, Legal, and M&A and practices
  • 4 – 6 years of experience in progressively more complex roles in a top-tier investment bank, management consulting or private equity firm.
  • Ability to pre-empt and escalate issues at the right time and to lead financial discussions with deal teams
  • Ability to manage workstreams within a deal and multi-task under significant time pressure, with minimal guidance
  • Strong business acumen with experience in critically evaluating businesses and investment
  • Experience in financial modelling and analysis, valuation, investment analysis and/or asset management.
