Job Description:

Responsible for managing, providing timely, accurate, cost efficient engineering and services related to the design and acquisition of electronic Transport systems using Intelligent Transport System (ITS) technologies in Buses.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage installation, testing and implementation of the PTA intelligent Transport systems. Provide technical support and services for the Transport management systems.
• Ensure the implementation of Project management for Intelligent Transport System projects, to be within budget, on schedule, and within specifications, and supervise staff engineers and technicians performing field and design work related to Intelligent Transport System projects.
• Processes owner for instructing consultants to add ITS components (Variable Message Signs, CCTV, Lane Control Signals, and other components), and manage, supervise, and coordinate with the ITS contractors for all implementation issues.
• Work with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop schedules, and plan for the various elements of a project.
• Provide support to the director in planning, organizing and participating in strategic direction and oversight of the activities, functions and responsibilities of the management of transport systems, which include the development of goals and objectives of management, development, implementation and application of policies, procedures and standards.
• Mobilize available resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
• Advise and Consult in formulating, reviewing and revising the PT Intelligent Transport System policy & procedures. Determine and specify the technical requirements for advanced PT Intelligent Transport System, develop test plans/protocols to assure high-level performance.
• Maintain proficiency in Intelligent Transport System Technologies includes: ITS Design and Implementation, establishing specifications for ITS components, for ITS
• Planning projects conducted either internally or through consultants, for fiber optics designs related to ITS projects, and for approving new ITS equipment.

Job Requirements:

• 7 years related work experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Management /Electrical/ Electronic from a recognized university.
